Living with a host family really makes the most of your stay. It will give students their greatest insight into the British way of life and provide them wth another forum to practise their speaking and listening skills in English.
All our host families are inspected by our Accommodation Officer. They are selected for their friendliness and the kindness they will show the students. In addition, only houses that are clean and comfortable will be added to our register. Our Accommodation Officer will only accept host families who can provide the sort of environment that her own children would be happy in.
We will always try to match our students with an appropriate host family. We take into consideration the age of the host familys children, special dietary requirements of the student, their likes and dislikes, their hobbies/interests and any other information we receive.
Before the student arrives in Britain they will receive a profile of their host family which will include the familys name and address, personal details
(ages, occupations, children), their hobbies/interests, details of the house and garden, details of the students room, any pets they might have and the distance from the school. |

In the case of illness or dental problems, our Welfare Officer can arrange appointments with the school doctor or dentist at very short notice. It is obligatory that students coming from outside the EC (i.e./ countries without a reciprocal healthcare agreement) obtain fully comprehensive medical insurance. It is preferred that this cover is arranged before you arrive. However, Atlas Language School is able to arrange immediate cover for you on your arrival if necessary. |
